Apartment and Condo Cleaning in Metro Detroit

Small footprint, tight rules, and a team that respects both.

DITA Pro Clean provides apartment cleaning services and condo cleaning services for buildings across Macomb County and eastern Oakland County, from mid-rise rentals in Warren and Sterling Heights to owner-occupied condos in Troy, Royal Oak and Birmingham. Smaller square footage means the kitchen and bathroom carry almost all of the work, and building life means parking, elevators, key fobs and quiet hours have to be planned rather than improvised.

Who this is for

Renters who want their unit handled without a two-hour minimum they do not need, condo owners who no longer want to haul a vacuum up an elevator, snowbirds who want a unit reset before they return, and landlords or property managers turning units. It fits studios and one-bedrooms of 500 to 900 square feet through to three-bedroom condos with a finished lower level.

Why households choose DITA

Buildings have rules and we follow them without being chased. Dita Hoxha does the walkthrough, notes the guest parking situation, the loading door, the elevator reservation policy, the fob or key handling and the hours the building allows vacuuming, and puts them on the job sheet alongside the room-by-room checklist. The same small vetted team comes each visit, so your neighbors see familiar faces, and DITA Pro Clean is fully insured with a certificate available for any board or management office that asks.

How it differs from maid service

Apartment and condo cleaning is defined by the property type and the building rules. Maid service is defined by the relationship: a named person, a standing schedule and household tasks that go beyond cleaning surfaces.

How often do you need us?

Most units book every other week. Weekly suits shared apartments and pet owners, monthly suits smaller units and part-time residents. One-time cleans are available with no contract.

What's included in apartment and condo cleaning

This is the checklist your cleaners work from. Dita writes it against your actual floor plan at the walkthrough, and nothing on it is an optional extra.

  • Kitchen, the hardest-working roomCounters and backsplash degreased, sink and faucet scrubbed, cabinet fronts wiped, appliance exteriors cleaned, microwave cleaned inside, stovetop and range hood underside degreased, floor mopped.
  • Bathroom sanitizedTub or shower scrubbed, glass and tile cleared of soap scum, toilet cleaned inside and out including the base, mirror polished, chrome dried streak-free, vanity wiped, floor mopped to the corners.
  • Living area and bedroomsSurfaces dusted, beds made or linens changed if left out, mirrors and glass cleaned, under accessible furniture vacuumed, and the perimeter of each room done rather than the middle.
  • Floors sized to the unitCarpet vacuumed edge to edge, LVP and tile swept then damp-mopped, and low-noise equipment used inside quiet hours where the building requires it.
  • Entry, closets and drop zonesThe entry tile that takes road salt every winter cleaned, coat closet floor vacuumed, shoe area wiped, and the interior of the unit door and its hardware cleaned.
  • High-touch pointsDoor handles, light switches, thermostat, cabinet pulls, appliance handles, and the interior side of the front door that every delivery and guest touches.
  • Balcony and sliderSlider track vacuumed and wiped, interior glass cleaned, and the balcony or patio swept where the building permits access.
  • In-unit laundryWasher and dryer exteriors wiped, lint trap cleared, the gap between the machines cleaned, and the closet floor vacuumed.
  • Building etiquette handledWe use the assigned door and elevator, park where the building tells us to, carry equipment rather than dragging it down shared hallways, and never prop a secured door.

Small square footage is not a small job

In a 750 square foot apartment, roughly two thirds of the cleaning time lives in two rooms. The kitchen takes grease, splatter and appliance work. The bathroom takes soap scum, hard-water film and grout. Everything else is dusting, glass and floors.

We build the checklist to match that, which means the bathroom and kitchen get real time rather than a proportional slice, and the living area gets the perimeter vacuumed instead of a quick pass down the middle.

Building rules are part of the job

Most cleaning companies treat a building as an inconvenience. It is simply part of the work.

Before the first visit we write down where to park, which door to load through, whether the elevator needs booking, how the fob works, whether the front desk holds keys, and what hours the building allows a vacuum to run. Some buildings in Royal Oak and Birmingham are strict about weekday mornings. Some Sterling Heights complexes only allow service vehicles in a marked bay. Those details decide whether a clean happens on time or not at all.

We also carry equipment through shared hallways rather than dragging it, and we never prop a secured door open, because that is how a building starts asking your management office who your cleaner is.

Winter and the entry tile

Apartment and condo entries take the worst of a Michigan winter. Everyone in the building walks the same salted sidewalk and the same lobby, then carries the grit down a shared hallway and onto your entry tile.

Road salt residue is abrasive and it dulls LVP fast in a small unit where every trip crosses the same three feet of floor. From November through March, the entry, the interior of your unit door and the first stretch of hallway floor inside the unit get attention every visit.

Near the Grosse Pointes, lake-effect grit does the same thing year round on slider tracks and balcony doors.

Turnovers and part-time residents

If you rent the unit out, we handle turnovers between tenants on a fixed scope so a changeover is one message rather than a fresh quote. If you go south for the winter, we can reset the unit before you fly back, which usually means dust, a full bathroom and kitchen clean, and running water through the traps.

For a single visit with no schedule attached, One Time Cleaning covers it. For a standing arrangement with the same cleaner, see Maid Service.

Good to know

Apartment and Condo Cleaning, your questions answered

Do you charge a minimum that makes a small apartment not worth it?

We price by the actual unit, not by a blanket minimum designed for houses. A one-bedroom is a smaller job and it should cost less. Dita walks the unit, prices the real scope, and gives you a flat figure before you book.

How do you get into the building if I am at work?

However your building allows. Key, fob, lockbox, concierge desk or a management office pickup all work. Access items are held by the owner rather than passed around, and we confirm the arrangement in writing so nobody is standing in a lobby waiting on a phone call.

My building has quiet hours. Can you work around them?

Yes. Quiet hours go on the job sheet at the walkthrough. We schedule vacuuming inside the permitted window, or move noisy work to the start or end of the visit, and use the freight elevator and service door where the building requires it.

Do you clean condos differently from apartments?

The rooms are the same, the rules differ. Condo boards more often want a certificate of insurance on file, and owner-occupied condos usually have more finished surface to protect, hardwood, natural stone, custom cabinetry. Rentals lean toward turnover work and appliance interiors. We adjust the checklist, not the standard.

Is parking a problem?

It is the most common headache in Metro Detroit buildings, so we sort it before the first visit. Guest spot, loading zone, street permit or a marked service bay, whatever your building runs, it goes on the job sheet.

What if I am moving out of the unit?

That is a different scope, Move Out Cleaning, because an empty unit means inside every cabinet, closet and appliance. If you have simply let things slide and want a reset before returning to routine visits, Deep Cleaning is the one you want.

Will I get the same cleaners each time?

Yes. The same small team is assigned to your unit, which matters more in a building than in a house, because your neighbors and your front desk get used to recognizing them.
